Leticia co-founded Common Currency Theatre Company in Dublin in 1997 and directed and produced many of their shows, including Marella Boschi’s first English translation of Baricco’s 1900. The Pianist on the Ocean, in co-production with the Civic Theatre and performed by Donal O’Kelly. She’s had the pleasure to direct puppets a few times for The Knickerbocker Glories : There’s a Whale in the Clothesline, Common Currency: Bimbo by Rosy Barnes, and for Púca Puppets: Mary Mary’s Last Dance. She holds an MA in Theatre Directing from the University of East Anglia and an MA in Film Production from the Dublin Institute of Technology. She set up the film and TV production company Whackala ( http://whackala.com ) in 2006 with her husband Paul McGrath. They have since made two award winning documentaries and are developing two children animation series and further documentary projects. Leticia also teaches film and media in Colaiste Dhulaigh College of Further Education.
