Amy Conroy (Performer, Deviser)

Since graduating from Inchicore College with distinction in 1999 Conroy’s theatre work has included ‘The Agamemnon’, ‘The Mysteries 2000′, ‘Dreaming of the Bones’ all with The Machine Theatre Company. ‘The Country Woman’ (Upstate Theatre Project), ‘Reverse Psychology’ (Daghdha Dance Company) as part of the International Dance Festival Ireland, ‘The BFG’ (Civic Theatre), ‘Don’t Take Your Coat Off (Darkhorse Theatre Company) and ‘Bumbogs and Bees’ (TEAM Educational Theatre Company), ‘Displace’ (Anonymous Theatre Company) and ‘The Gist of it’ (Fishamble Theatre Company). Amy has also worked with Barabbas… The Company in ‘Blowfish’, ‘Parable of the Plums’ for ReJoyce dublin 2004, ‘Luca’ in Project Arts Centre and ’40 Songs of Green’ in The National Concert Hall.

Most recently she has appeared in ‘The Blanch’ (Carpet Theatre) which she co wrote, as part of the Dublin Fringe Theatre Festival, it will be revised and touring later in the year.

Radio work includes: ‘1923’ for Radio Kerry.‘No Handouts in Europe’, and ‘27’ (winner of the World Gold Medal Award at the New York Festival Awards 2006), all for RTE Radio One.

Amy is currently writing a radio play for RTE Radio One, and a new Fringe Theatre show.
